Harbour Green ResidentialHarbour Green ResidentialHarbour Green Residential is an award-winning interior design project completed in Hong Kong in 2013, exemplifying innovative solutions for contemporary urban living within spatial constraints. The 2,200 square-foot apartment demonstrates masterful space optimization through its thoughtful bifurcation into distinct functional areas, including living room, dining room, maid's room, den, son's room, master room, and kitchen. The design addresses the challenging aspect of limited natural light, due to the property's north-south window orientation and surrounding high-rise buildings, through creative interventions such as the strategic placement of a yellow wall-mounted cabinet that serves both functional and aesthetic purposes by brightening the living area. The interior scheme employs sophisticated design elements, including glossy white walls throughout the living and dining areas to create an illusion of weightlessness, while camouflaged doors maintain visual continuity and spatial cleanliness. Notable features include the innovative combination of two rooms to create an expanded children's area with a sliding blackboard door concealing an electronic piano, and a master bedroom showcasing a padded green headboard complemented by strategically placed mirrors to enhance spatial perception. The bathroom design incorporates white marble and reflective surfaces to visually expand the compact space, while the overall color scheme and furniture selection, including a vibrant Bonaldo table and Leaf chairs, contribute to an energetic and harmonious living environment. This exceptional residential project, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates excellence in addressing urban living challenges through sophisticated design solutions.
