Pattern Of Tree In Order To Organic Furniture.

Pattern Of Tree In Order To Organic Furniture.

Pattern of tree In order to organic furniture is an innovative design concept that reimagines the utilization of traditionally overlooked conifer tree parts, specifically focusing on the slender upper trunk sections and irregular root formations, to create organic furniture pieces. This groundbreaking approach, developed by Japanese designer Hiroyuki Morita, addresses both environmental concerns and aesthetic possibilities in contemporary furniture design. The design philosophy centers on the natural annual rings and organic patterns found in conifer wood, transforming these typically discarded elements into sophisticated partition systems that measure 1000mm in width, 450mm in depth, and 1500mm in height. The project employs specialized UZUKURI techniques and oil finishing to enhance the natural characteristics of the wood, creating a harmonious balance between form and function. This innovative approach earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Fine Arts and Art Installation Design category, acknowledging its contribution to sustainable design practices and artistic merit. The design's significance lies in its ability to create a comfortable rhythm within inorganic spaces through the thoughtful arrangement of overlapping organic patterns, while simultaneously addressing the challenges faced by the Japanese forestry industry. By incorporating growth fractal patterns and geometric forms inherent in tree structures, the design achieves a unique aesthetic that bridges natural and constructed environments, offering consumers an opportunity to introduce organic spatial direction into their surroundings while adding value through the uniqueness of each piece.
