Desert Habitat House

Desert Habitat House is an innovative architectural design that exemplifies sustainable living solutions for arid environments, specifically created for implementation in Jericho, Palestine. This environmentally conscious residential project, designed by architect Hani Hassan, represents a significant advancement in desert architecture by incorporating traditional wisdom with modern sustainable technologies. The design draws inspiration from the time-tested efficiency of Bedouin tents, adapting their principles to create a contemporary 160-square-meter dwelling that effectively addresses the challenges of desert climate conditions. The project demonstrates remarkable environmental consciousness through its integration of recycled materials, gray water management systems, photovoltaic panels, and thermal solar technology, achieving an impressive 42% reduction in energy consumption.
