Smart board Eco Board is an innovative educational tool designed to enhance children's learning experience through sustainable and interactive means. This didactic instrument, created by Serbian educators Ljiljana Reljic and Snezana Cvetkovic, represents a significant advancement in eco-friendly educational resources, combining sensory development with environmental consciousness. The board, measuring 53cm x 41.5cm x 3cm, is meticulously crafted from recycled materials, featuring a cardboard base protected by transparent foil and adorned with various textures including leather, wood, fabric, iron, plastic caps, zippers, pebbles, wool, sandpaper, buttons, and laces. This thoughtfully designed educational tool facilitates knowledge acquisition, motor skill development, and environmental awareness through its multi-sensory approach, enabling children aged 2-12 to engage in self-directed learning experiences. The design incorporates error control mechanisms and presents educational content in an accessible, entertaining format that maintains children's interest while promoting ecological understanding. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design category, demonstrates how recycled packaging materials can be transformed into valuable educational resources. Its creation process involved extensive research, including feedback from parents and educational staff, confirming its effectiveness in practical applications. The board's innovative approach to combining sustainability with education has been showcased at various international expert conferences, highlighting its significance in modern educational methodologies and environmental stewardship.
