A Touch Of Monet Residential Apartment

A Touch of Monet Residential Apartment is an award-winning residential interior design project that masterfully translates the artistic essence of Claude Monet's impressionist paintings into contemporary living spaces. Located in Jiangsu, China, this 130-square-meter apartment seamlessly integrates the dreamy atmosphere and vivid colors characteristic of Monet's Water Lilies series through sophisticated spatial design and material selection. The interior features premium materials including white Volakas marble, white lacquered floorboards, and brushed bronze-colored stainless steel, creating an interplay of light and shadow that mirrors Monet's artistic techniques. The living room is anchored by a pond-inspired carpet that creates an illusion of floating tulle, while layered metal chandeliers evoke bubbles rising through water. The dining area incorporates curved transparent chair backs and flowing forms to represent water movement and social interaction. The master bedroom showcases a green water lily painting as its focal point, establishing a tranquil atmosphere through the careful balance of bold colors and soft lighting. The study space reflects literary sophistication through its elegant design elements, transforming a private space into a narrative of cultural refinement. Designed by Li Zhang, along with team members Cheng-Yi Chen and Li-Hua Zhu, this project was completed in 2019 and received the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its innovative approach to residential design and its successful integration of fine art influences into contemporary living spaces.
