Straightforward Journey Residential Apartment is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the sophisticated integration of industrial aesthetics with practical living spaces, completed in 2018 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. This 53-square-meter apartment, designed by Yi-Yun Chang, represents a departure from conventional residential styling, embracing a straightforward and carefree industrial approach while maintaining refined living sentiments. The design's distinctive features include the deliberate preservation of the building's original ceiling structure to enhance the industrial aesthetic, and the strategic implementation of a 45-degree angular layout that maximizes spatial efficiency. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases innovative space optimization through its minimalist material palette and thoughtful layout planning, creating a harmonious balance between industrial aesthetics and comfortable living.
