Vibrant Hair Salon is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of botanical elements within an urban commercial space, completed in September 2018 in Taipei City, Taiwan. This 100-square-meter establishment represents a sophisticated approach to contemporary salon design, where the essence of a secret garden is masterfully woven into the functional requirements of a professional hair care facility. Designed by Jacksam Yang and Steven Kuo, the salon features a distinctive sky garden concept that extends throughout the aisle, creating an immediate sense of escape from the bustling cityscape. The design's architectural narrative unfolds through a carefully considered vertical expansion of a narrow layout, enhanced by meticulous golden accents and botanical metaphors. The material palette combines timber, brass, mirror, marble, and custom fabric printing, complemented by a thoughtful integration of both natural and simulated botanical elements. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category demonstrates exceptional spatial innovation through its transformation of a standard commercial space into a tranquil urban retreat.
