Pah Ji Hue PackagePah Ji Hue PackagePah Ji Hue Package is an innovative tea packaging design that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Taiwanese tea culture with contemporary urban aesthetics. This sophisticated packaging system, designed by Chung-Yuan Kuo, Wei-Jen Huang, and Ann Ching, comprises a thoughtfully crafted collection of containers including a wooden gift box, paper box, and a distinctive rounded iron canister. The design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, represents a significant advancement in cultural tea product presentation. The packaging's primary innovation lies in its reimagining of traditional tea-tasting experiences, featuring a combination of Taiwan fruit tea and classic dried fruit products that create a mellow and smooth taste profile. The rounded iron canister, measuring 125mm in diameter and 60mm in height, employs convex modeling on its top surface and utilizes multiple printing layers to achieve its sophisticated appearance. The wooden gift box, measuring 144mm x 280mm x 80mm, serves both as an elegant presentation vessel and a practical storage solution, accommodating different tea products while embodying the project's integrated design approach. The visual language employed in the packaging design features simple yet elegant illustrations that effectively communicate an urban design aesthetic while maintaining strong connections to traditional tea culture. This design solution, completed between March 2018 and September 2019, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its execution, from the offset printing techniques to the careful consideration of material selection and structural design, ultimately creating a cohesive and culturally relevant packaging system that elevates the tea-drinking experience.
