Wild Rhythm Exhibition HallWild Rhythm Exhibition HallWild Rhythm Exhibition Hall is an innovative interior space design project completed in Chongqing, China, that reimagines the traditional concept of exhibition spaces through a minimalist and multifunctional approach. The 240-square-meter space demonstrates exceptional spatial optimization through its innovative use of vertical space, featuring a distinctive spiral staircase wrapped around an existing structural column, creating multiple levels and varied spatial experiences within the constraints of the original architecture. The design philosophy centers on returning to architectural essentials, employing a carefully curated material palette of cement, steel, and paint, with sustainable elements such as repurposed wood flooring from dismantled houses. The project's aesthetic is characterized by the interplay between cement texture coating and brick-red surfaces, creating a compelling visual contrast that enhances the spatial dynamics. Distinguished by its versatile functionality, the space transcends traditional exhibition hall limitations, seamlessly functioning as a gallery, bar, or residential accommodation. The design, completed in 2019, earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to space utilization and material selection. The project's significance lies in its commentary on contemporary consumption patterns, advocating for a return to essential living through thoughtful design that integrates decorative elements with architectural structure, ultimately creating a pure, functional space that encourages reflection on modern lifestyle choices.
