Zongyinei RestaurantZongyinei RestaurantZongyinei Restaurant is an innovative interior design project completed in Shanghai in 2019, representing a sophisticated reinterpretation of traditional Hong Kong-style dining establishments. The 300-square-meter space masterfully combines contemporary design elements with cultural authenticity, featuring distinctive architectural elements such as water-pattern stainless steel ceilings and geometrically-inspired punched plate walls that create a dynamic spatial experience. The interior design, recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases a harmonious blend of artistic and commercial sensibilities through its signature arched motifs and thoughtfully curated color palette. The space employs coral pink tones complemented by peacock blue accents and black-and-white textured stone, creating an atmosphere that balances elegance with modern sophistication. Notable design features include spherical lighting fixtures that cast intricate shadow patterns, mirror installations that create spatial illusions, and carefully integrated brand messaging that enhances the customer experience. The restaurant's design challenges traditional perceptions of Hong Kong-style eateries by replacing typical neon-lit environments with a refined, dreamlike atmosphere that caters to contemporary dining preferences while maintaining cultural authenticity. The project, designed by Jianing Cui in collaboration with Weizheng Yin and Nan Jiang, demonstrates exceptional attention to spatial flow and functionality, incorporating innovative lighting solutions and material combinations that create an immersive dining environment that particularly appeals to modern urban clientele.
