Pass On Photo SeriesPass On Photo SeriesPass On Photo Series is an evocative photographic art project created by Brazilian photographer Eduardo Dulla that reimagines the timeless concept of a message in a bottle through contemporary digital photography and image manipulation techniques. This ongoing artistic endeavor, initiated in July 2017, combines literal and metaphorical elements to address global issues such as pollution, social inequality, and human conflict while simultaneously conveying messages of hope, faith, and fraternity. The series employs sophisticated studio photography techniques utilizing professional equipment including Canon digital cameras and specialized lighting from Broncolor, Elinchrom, and Arri, with each composition carefully constructed to integrate text and imagery in a harmonious visual narrative. The photographs, printed on cotton paper with inkjet technology in formats up to 800mm on the long side, feature carefully orchestrated scenes where bottles containing messages interact with water elements, creating a powerful symbolic representation of humanity's enduring desire to communicate and connect. Each image in the series responds to specific global events or universal themes, such as the Same Blood photograph created in response to terrorist attacks in Paris, demonstrating the project's engagement with contemporary social issues. The technical execution involves complex set designs, custom-built aquariums, and specialized mechanisms, with post-production work enhancing the visual impact while maintaining artistic integrity. The project, which won a Bronze A' Design Award in the Photography and Photo Manipulation Design category in 2020, represents a significant contribution to contemporary photography through its innovative approach to visual storytelling and its powerful commentary on modern society.
