Extra Time Cinema Cinema and Gallery is an innovative architectural and interior design project that reimagines the traditional cinema experience through a sophisticated blend of social interaction spaces and entertainment venues. Located on the B2 floor of a shopping mall, this 800-square-meter establishment features a striking facade adorned with folded mirror stainless steel, creating dynamic reflective surfaces that interact with passing visitors. The design incorporates a distinctive semi-circular space with a 9-meter radius, centered around a multifunctional bar area that serves as both a social hub and cultural center. The space transcends conventional cinema functionality by integrating various elements including a cafe, reading area, video retail section, and venue for salon lectures and performances. Notable architectural features include an advanced lighting system utilizing curved stainless steel grooves and plastic sunlight panels that create an ambient atmosphere with transitioning colors from blue to green and rose red. The project, completed in 2019, demonstrates exceptional innovation in overcoming spatial challenges through creative solutions, such as the implementation of building wash wall lights to enhance the perceived scale of interior walkways. The design earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its contribution to advancing social interaction in contemporary entertainment spaces. The venue's versatility is exemplified through its hosting of diverse events, from movie lectures to modern dance performances and product launches, while maintaining a commitment to environmental consciousness through the creative application of simple, sustainable materials.
