Saintly Flavours Gourmet Food Gift SetSaintly Flavours Gourmet Food Gift SetSaintly Flavours Gourmet Food Gift Set is an artistically conceived luxury food packaging design that exemplifies the intersection of religious artistic heritage and contemporary gastronomy. Created by multidisciplinary designer Jeremy Bonggu Kang, this sophisticated gift set draws inspiration from the rich culinary traditions of Catholic monasteries and the ornate aesthetics of ecclesiastical art, particularly referencing the 2018 Met Gala's Catholic theme. The meticulously crafted collection comprises wine bottles, jam jars, and crackers, each housed in containers featuring exquisite etching-style illustrations that pay homage to seven French abbeys. The design employs textured, premium paper materials reminiscent of artist sketchbooks, creating a tactile and visually engaging experience. The packaging architecture is thoughtfully arranged within a fitted outer container, with two wine bottles (red and white), a cracker box, and three jam jars stacked in an architectural formation. Each product label incorporates medieval-style hand-drawn flames and detailed abbey illustrations, while product names reflect Catholic values such as Meditation, Benediction, and Generosity. The design successfully balances traditional ornamental elements with contemporary luxury appeal, utilizing careful typography and composition to achieve visual harmony. This innovative approach to luxury food packaging earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, acknowledging its contribution to elevating packaging design standards through its artistic merit and functional excellence. The design serves both practical and decorative purposes, maintaining its aesthetic value throughout and after use, with precisely calculated dimensions for each component ensuring optimal presentation and functionality.
