Woman Flower Cosmetic

Woman Flower Cosmetic is an innovative packaging design collection that reimagines traditional cosmetic containers through a sophisticated fusion of medieval European fashion aesthetics and botanical forms. Developed by Chinese designer Kang Jiang, this Silver A' Design Award-winning series encompasses three essential beauty products: a lipstick case (21mm x 21mm x 8.7mm), a mascara container (18mm x 18mm x 135mm), and a BB cream dispenser (21mm x 82mm x 21mm). The design's distinctive characteristic lies in its interpretation of medieval ladies' extravagant clothing styles and bird's-eye view petal shapes, which have been thoughtfully integrated into the product's form factor. Through metal mold injection and spray coating techniques, the collection achieves a dynamic and fashion-forward aesthetic while maintaining practical functionality. The ergonomic petal-shaped design enhances user experience by improving grip and ease of use, setting it apart from conventional cosmetic packaging through both visual and tactile differentiation. This project, completed between September 2018 and April 2019 in Guangzhou, represents a significant advancement in cosmetic packaging design, where the marriage of historical inspiration and contemporary functionality creates a unique product identity. The design successfully addresses the dual challenges of aesthetic appeal and practical usability, earning recognition in the A' Design Award's Packaging Design category for its innovative approach to beauty product presentation and its contribution to elevating industry standards in packaging design.
