Elmina Hotel Boutique Hotel is an award-winning hospitality design project located in the historic heart of Jaffa, Israel, exemplifying a sophisticated fusion of Ottoman architectural heritage with contemporary design sensibilities. This intimate 10-room boutique hotel, situated in a meticulously preserved Ottoman-era building, offers panoramic views of both the ancient city of Jaffa and the Mediterranean Sea, creating a unique hospitality experience that bridges historical and modern aesthetics. Designed by Michael Azoulay in 2019, the hotel's interior design philosophy masterfully blends oriental charm with European sophistication, featuring distinctive elements such as original arched windows, contrasting stone flooring with colored tiles, and Versailles parquet floors adorned with vibrant African textiles.
