Saving Green Residence Residential HouseSaving Green Residence Residential HouseSaving Green Residence Residential House is an exemplary residential architectural project that masterfully integrates modern design aesthetics with environmental sustainability principles, completed in Taipei City, Taiwan in 2015. This 195-square-meter residence demonstrates a sophisticated approach to contemporary living spaces by eschewing superfluous decorative elements in favor of rational, minimalist design solutions that prioritize green energy efficiency and environmental protection. The project's distinctive features include an innovative spatial organization that maximizes the utility of every square meter while maintaining a harmonious flow between different functional areas. The design incorporates a significant architectural intervention where the original 8-meter-high lounge was thoughtfully reconfigured to optimize air conditioning efficiency and create a more intimate study and lounge area, achieving a delicate balance between spatial constraints and comfort. The residence showcases exemplary implementation of transparency and multi-directional views through the strategic use of horizontal and vertical lines, connecting various floor levels while maintaining distinct spatial characteristics. French windows and carefully selected flooring materials create visual continuity throughout the space, while a glass-enhanced staircase ingeniously separates the lounge and dining areas while maintaining visual lightness. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, particularly excels in its treatment of the indoor-outdoor relationship, utilizing green construction materials and implementing design strategies that respond to seasonal changes, demonstrating a profound commitment to environmental stewardship and energy conservation principles.
