Best Moment Ever Residential Apartment is an innovative residential design project completed in 2019 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, specifically crafted to enhance the retirement lifestyle of its occupants through thoughtful architectural and interior design solutions. This 548.7-square-meter interior space, complemented by an 826-square-meter exterior area, exemplifies a people-oriented approach to residential design that transcends conventional style constraints. The project, designed by Ken Lun Yang and Chia Huang Chen, features distinctive elements including an elevator and kitchen counters on each floor, addressing accessibility needs while maintaining aesthetic excellence. The residence incorporates a comprehensive floor heating system, particularly significant given its location in a mountainous area prone to lower temperatures and higher humidity. The interior spaces are characterized by soothing warm colors and large windows that maximize natural light infiltration and scenic views. Notable features include a specialized working studio for crafting solid wood appliances and metal gem crafts, a unique partially open bathroom with natural vistas, and a raised tea area adjacent to the dining room. The design emphasizes spatial logic and comfort, utilizing curved elements to soften the environment and customized bedroom designs tailored to individual family members' needs. The basement level houses a private family parlor with an open layout, while innovative features such as under-stair lighting enhance safety and functionality. This exceptional residential project was recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to residential interior design and its successful integration of functionality, aesthetics, and user-centered design principles.
