Wuxi Ditre Furniture Showroom is an exemplary architectural interior design project that masterfully showcases contemporary furniture within a sophisticated 600-square-meter exhibition space, demonstrating an innovative fusion of Italian design aesthetics with Oriental living philosophy. The showroom, designed by Yang Su in collaboration with Hai Wang and Derong Sun, employs a thoughtfully curated progression of dark tones, natural wood textures, and classic light elements to create a pure, harmonious atmosphere that enhances the presentation of luxury furniture pieces. The space features a distinctive architectural element in its innovative staircase design, which transitions from wide to narrow steps, incorporating solid blocks interspersed between walls and complemented by lightweight glass handrails, creating a sculptural element that guides visitors through the space. The design's sophisticated material palette includes fireproof boards, wood flooring, customized metal elements, and grey floor tiles, all carefully selected to create an immersive atmospheric experience. The showroom's layout is characterized by its free-flowing spatial organization, allowing for sequential discovery of carefully curated furniture arrangements, while the fifth facade features a framework design that replaces traditional flat roofing, corresponding harmoniously with a simplified reception desk below. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning project, completed in January 2019, exemplifies excellence in retail and exhibition design through its thoughtful integration of lighting, materials, and spatial planning, creating an environment where each exhibit combination is presented in a methodical sequence that enhances the visitor experience and product presentation.
