This groundbreaking design, created by JiaYi Cai and recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Art and Stationery Supplies Design category, transforms the mundane pen cap into an interactive musical instrument through its ingenious tumbler mechanism and carefully calibrated sound production system. The design features a set of twelve distinct pen caps, each crafted with varying thicknesses of specialized color materials and precise engineering to produce different sound levels when activated. Measuring 18x18x53 millimeters, each cap incorporates a protruding tip that enables effortless thumb activation while maintaining optimal functionality for pen protection. The caps are arranged according to different color combinations, producing crisp, sweet musical tones when lightly engaged, effectively combining visual, tactile, and auditory elements in a single design.
