6280.CH Hub6280.CH Hub6280.CH Hub is an innovative coworking space located in Central Switzerland, representing a significant advancement in rural workspace design. Established in a repurposed furniture factory, this 1,000-square-meter facility exemplifies the successful transformation of industrial heritage into a contemporary work environment. The design masterfully integrates the region's natural beauty and industrial legacy, featuring a sophisticated color palette of blue, muted green, violet, and yellow, complemented by wooden floors and felt acoustic panels. The space's architectural composition maximizes natural light through high ceilings and tall windows on two sides, creating an atmosphere that enhances productivity and wellbeing. Notable design elements include custom-made furniture pieces, acoustic panels, and innovative features such as a converted shipping container that serves as a meeting pod, and a restored joiner's bench repurposed as a communal dining table. The hub offers a diverse range of work environments, including private offices, coworking spaces, conference rooms, and common areas, all designed to facilitate both individual and collaborative work. This exceptional interior design project, completed in 2019, received the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its outstanding contribution to workplace design innovation. The project's success lies in its ability to create a distinctly local character while meeting contemporary workplace requirements, incorporating elements inspired by Swiss mountain pastures, lakeside scenery, and traditional craftsmanship.
