Degas Residence Sales CenterDegas Residence Sales CenterDegas Residence Sales Center is an exemplary architectural and interior design project completed in 2019, showcasing a sophisticated blend of contemporary design principles with traditional Chinese water town aesthetics. Located in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, this 800-square-meter space demonstrates innovative spatial organization through the concept of interconnected boxes that simultaneously create privacy and visual intrigue. The design philosophy draws inspiration from the regional architectural heritage, incorporating elements of city walls and traditional fishing creels into modern interpretations. The space is characterized by its masterful use of natural stone with precise 2mm joints, creating a harmonious visual flow throughout the interior. The design employs a minimalist approach to decoration, focusing instead on the inherent beauty of carefully selected materials and thoughtful spatial relationships. A distinguishing feature of the project is its sophisticated lighting design, particularly evident in the unique chandeliers that reference traditional fishing creels, establishing a cultural connection while maintaining contemporary relevance. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies excellence in spatial planning through its innovative use of horizontal and vertical openings that create subtle visual connections between different areas. The design successfully balances privacy requirements with openness, utilizing material textures and natural light to enhance the spatial experience while paying homage to the region's rich cultural heritage.
