Yujintai ClubYujintai ClubYujintai Club is an exemplary interior design project located in Beijing's CBD area that masterfully integrates traditional Chinese aesthetics with contemporary spatial design principles. Completed in 2018, this 350-square-meter multifunctional space demonstrates a sophisticated interpretation of Song and Ming Dynasty cultural elements within a modern architectural context. The design, conceived by Jidong Cao and Xiuzhu Fan, employs a thoughtful material palette featuring dark-grained marble with mountain and river motifs, complemented by deep-gray mirrored surfaces that create an illusion of boundless space. The interior architecture is characterized by its rich linear rhythms, strategic frame hollow-out divisions, and the harmonious interplay of geometric rules with freehand artistic elements. Notable design features include traditional Ming-style four-door cabinetry, water-shaped mica ornaments, and artistic references to Song Huizong's Ruihe Tu, all of which contribute to the space's classical elegance. The project addresses contemporary architectural challenges through the innovative integration of landscape art and potted areas, enhancing the space's meditative quality while maintaining functional versatility. The design's excellence was recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to spatial design and cultural preservation. The project successfully creates a tranquil sanctuary within an urban setting, embodying the concept of leaving the city without leaving the life through its thoughtful balance of traditional elements and modern functionality.
