Yuntu Banquet RestaurantYuntu Banquet RestaurantYuntu Banquet Restaurant is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the artistic essence of Chinese Song Dynasty aesthetics in contemporary commercial space design. Located in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, this 1,400-square-meter banquet venue, completed in January 2019, represents a masterful interpretation of classical Chinese artistic elements in modern spatial design. The establishment features a sophisticated three-part spatial arrangement that draws inspiration from traditional Chinese garden design principles, beginning with a 60-meter-long vaulted corridor enclosed in glass, followed by a special-shaped hall in black and white tones, and culminating in a crystal banquet hall. The design, created by Shang Cai, employs the freehand brushwork techniques characteristic of Song Dynasty painting and calligraphy to create an ethereal atmosphere featuring representations of mountains, sea, clouds, moonlight, and flowers. The color palette is deliberately restrained, primarily utilizing azure - inspired by the Song Dynasty's renowned azure porcelain - complemented by black and white, creating a space that embodies the period's aesthetic refinement. The project's innovative approach to commercial space design, particularly its integration of traditional artistic elements with modern architectural techniques, earned it the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, recognizing its exceptional contribution to contemporary interior design.
