DouChaSai Tea is an innovative packaging design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese tea culture with contemporary design aesthetics. This sophisticated packaging, specifically created for a gold award-winning Wuyi Mountain Folk Tea, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its conceptualization and execution. The design's most distinctive feature is its masterful incorporation of Chinese calligraphy, which draws inspiration from the ancient tradition of tea competitions dating back to the Tang Dynasty. The packaging dimensions of 160*40*245mm house both a tea container and a certificate of collection, utilizing special paper with screen spot color printing, bronzing, and transfer metal stickers to achieve its refined appearance. The calligraphic elements are deliberately crafted to embody the concept of Yi Zhan Cheng Ming, Yan Ao Jiang Hu, creating a visual narrative that connects the competitive spirit of traditional tea culture with modern aesthetic sensibilities. This design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, successfully captures the essence of tea competition culture while maintaining functional efficiency and visual appeal. The project, completed in Fuzhou, China, represents a significant achievement in packaging design, demonstrating how traditional cultural elements can be reinterpreted through contemporary design language to create a product that serves both practical and aesthetic purposes.
