Studio Atelier11 OfficeStudio Atelier11 OfficeStudio Atelier11 Office is an architecturally innovative commercial structure distinguished by its unique triangular design philosophy, completed in 2019 on Jeju Island, South Korea. The building's distinctive geometric composition comprises five interconnected triangles when viewed from above, representing a harmonious intersection between human civilization and natural environments. Designed by architect Hyunmo Park in collaboration with designers Park Geunhyo and Kim Dohyung, the structure masterfully overcomes the traditional challenges associated with triangular architecture through sophisticated spatial organization and technical innovation. The building features advanced materials including double-sided roy transparent triple glazing and specialized silicone paint treatments, while incorporating exposed concrete interiors that create a compelling industrial aesthetic. The structure's 25.5-degree hypotenuse angle opens southward, with a square frame rooftop design that pays homage to Mount Halla, reflecting local architectural heritage. The interior spaces mirror the exterior's triangular motif, featuring geometrically aligned meeting tables and complementary lighting fixtures that create dynamic shadow plays throughout the day. The project, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category in 2020, demonstrates exceptional achievement in combining functional efficiency with artistic vision. The building's innovative approach to space utilization includes four accumulated triangle boxes that effectively address floor area ratio requirements while creating varied spatial experiences through different heights and volumes, serving as an architectural mediator between urban grid systems and organic natural patterns.
