Wrapped Volumes Sales OfficeWrapped Volumes Sales OfficeWrapped Volumes Sales Office is an innovative architectural project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of form, function, and environmental consciousness in commercial design. Located on the outskirts of an industrial city in Gujarat, India, this sales pavilion demonstrates a sophisticated approach to contextual architecture through its distinctive wrapped geometry that responds to the site's connecting road. The structure, designed by architects Boney Keriwala and Alak Parmar, is characterized by its dynamic elevation from the ground plane and its continuous facade treatment that seamlessly integrates landscape elements with the building envelope. The pavilion, measuring 15550mm x 10250mm x 4475mm, employs a composite structural system combining metal columns with reinforced concrete frame components, featuring insulated corrugated sheet roofing and tinted glass glazing that enhances the floating mass aesthetic. The facade's manually crafted ribbed plaster, executed by local artisans, represents a successful marriage of contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship. The interior spaces are thoughtfully organized to create a progression from public to private areas, with the reception foyer leading to a sales area that benefits from filtered natural light through the wrapped facade. The project, completed in 2019, garnered recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, acknowledging its innovative spatial design, environmental considerations, and architectural merit. The design successfully addresses multiple challenges, including complex geometrical construction and material innovation, while creating an engaging visitor experience through its dynamic interplay of light, shadow, and spatial flow.
