Nanjing Hexi Beauty Hospital

Nanjing Hexi Beauty Hospital is an innovative architectural interior design project completed in 2019, showcasing a sophisticated fusion of futuristic aesthetics and functional healthcare spaces across 480 square meters. The distinguished design, created by Sheng Tao and Yi Zhang in collaboration with Hui Cai and Wan Huang, employs a groundbreaking virtual space concept that transforms conventional spatial limitations through strategic use of reflective surfaces. The hospital's most striking feature is its mirror-finished stainless steel ceiling, which creates an infinite spatial illusion that transcends structural constraints while orchestrating an intricate interplay of light and shadow. The design philosophy centers around circular motifs, manifested through semicircular art installations that multiply infinitely in reflections, creating a sense of weightlessness and continuity. The facility encompasses four distinct zones: a reception area, negotiation space, VIP consultation rooms, and inpatient care areas, all unified by an undulating eight-meter front desk featuring intaglio decorative techniques that reinforce the space's science fiction-inspired atmosphere. The material palette combines tempered glass, marble, latex paint, and mirror-finished stainless steel, while a sophisticated white and gold color scheme, accented with subtle blue tones, establishes a serene and professional environment. This exceptional design earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, recognized for its innovative approach to healthcare facility design and its successful integration of aesthetic excellence with practical functionality.
