Fontworks Inc. Tokyo Head OfficeFontworks Inc. Tokyo Head OfficeFontworks Inc. Tokyo Head Office is an innovative corporate headquarters space located in Minato-ku, Tokyo, that exemplifies the fusion of analog and digital design philosophies through its thoughtfully curated interior architecture. Designed by Tomohiro Katsuki and the design team at PRISM Design, this 431-square-meter office space, situated on the fifth floor of the Nisshin Aoyama Building, represents a significant milestone in contemporary workplace design. The project, completed in December 2019, embodies the concept of Character More Freely through its distinctive design elements, including a signature C-shaped desk that symbolizes creativity and collaboration. The space features an integrated approach to modern office design, incorporating various materials such as original color carpet tiles, concrete PVC, laminated sheets, and artificial greenery to create a harmonious work environment. A notable feature is the large central display that maintains constant connection with the Creative Lab in Fukuoka, facilitating seamless communication between locations. The design philosophy carefully balances traditional and contemporary elements, featuring a ceiling height of 2900mm and thoughtfully planned spaces for both focused work and casual interaction. The entrance area includes a distinctive stair-shaped bench and display arrangement, creating an inviting atmosphere for external visitors while maintaining professional functionality. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases exceptional attention to detail in its material selection and spatial organization, demonstrating how office design can effectively support corporate culture and operational efficiency while promoting employee wellbeing and creativity.
