Dry Salon Commercial SpaceDry Salon Commercial SpaceDry Salon Commercial Space is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies the modern reinterpretation of classical art salon concepts, distinguished by its innovative approach to commercial space renovation. The project, designed by Tim Chen, transforms a forty-year-old narrow structure into a sophisticated venue that masterfully balances aesthetic appeal with functional practicality. The design's cornerstone features include large glass French windows at the entrance, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor visual connection while establishing a striking focal point. The interior space embraces minimalist principles, characterized by intentionally blank walls, ceilings, and floors that serve as a canvas for user interaction and creative expression. Notable architectural elements include a sophisticated grille system that elegantly conceals mechanical equipment while facilitating maintenance access, and a transparent skylight that replaces the original rain shade, dramatically enhancing natural illumination. The design incorporates carefully selected materials, including titanium stainless steel gates, arc wallboards, and thoughtfully placed stone and wooden blocks that serve as adaptable furniture elements, allowing users to define their usage contextually. This innovative commercial space, which earned the prestigious Gold A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional achievement in spatial reorganization, material selection, and functional flexibility, while successfully addressing the challenges of transforming an isolated, dated structure into an open, luminous environment that promotes social interaction and creative engagement.
