Ms Moon Retail Space

Ms Moon Retail Space is an innovative retail interior design project completed in 2019, representing a sophisticated approach to contemporary women's fashion retail environments. Located in Shenzhen, China, this 145-square-meter space transcends traditional retail design conventions through its artistic integration of materials, forms, and spatial arrangements. The design, conceived by Uno Chan and Gengbin Zhang, features a distinctive arched ceiling that creates an architectural rhythm and spatial sequence throughout the interior. The space employs earth-toned natural travertine as its primary material for flooring and countertops, complemented by refined brass accents that create striking visual contrasts. The design philosophy deliberately challenges preconceptions about women's retail spaces by breaking through conventional boundaries, incorporating artistic elements that symbolize the brand's commitment to freedom and beauty. The layout includes thoughtfully designed semi-private negotiation areas, independent dressing rooms, and children's spaces, enhancing the functionality and user experience. The interior's sophisticated material palette and geometric interplay create unique display areas that serve as visual focal points, while artistic furniture pieces and ornamental elements contribute to a chic, contemporary atmosphere. This innovative approach to retail design earned recognition at the A' Design Award competition, receiving an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its contribution to advancing retail interior design through its harmonious blend of functionality, aesthetics, and brand identity.
