House 4x4x4 Architecture DesignHouse 4x4x4 Architecture DesignHouse 4x4x4 Architecture Design is an innovative residential architectural project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal in modern home design. This three-story building, located in Changhua, Taiwan, represents a masterful transformation of an old house into a contemporary living space that garnered recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category. The design, conceived by architect Ching-Huang Ju, divides the 205-square-meter-per-floor space into four interconnected sections, each serving distinct functional purposes while maintaining spatial cohesion. The structure's distinguishing features include its pure white exterior that functions as a light box, creating dynamic interactions between natural illumination and architectural elements throughout the day. The design incorporates several innovative solutions, including an elevated vaulted ceiling extending from the second to the third floor, strategically placed skylights with concealment options for privacy, and a unique spiral stairway integration. The residence showcases thoughtful details such as wall luminaires arranged in astronomical patterns, a wide balcony with decorative openwork, and specialized areas including a drone-friendly space and a customized studio for displaying collections. Environmental considerations are addressed through energy-efficient features including rooftop drainage systems and transom windows, while the overall spatial arrangement facilitates shared living areas such as the courtyard, living room, dining room, and kitchen for a family of four, demonstrating an exemplary balance between private and communal spaces in contemporary residential architecture.
