Pengzhanhui Square Sales CenterPengzhanhui Square Sales CenterPengzhanhui Square Sales Center is an exemplary architectural and interior design project located in Shenzhen, China, that masterfully reimagines the cultural symbolism of the moon in contemporary spatial design. Completed in June 2019, this 600-square-meter sales center represents a sophisticated fusion of traditional Chinese cultural elements with modern architectural principles. Designed by Ocean Luo, a veteran interior designer with two decades of experience, the project earned recognition with a Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. The center's design philosophy centers on redefining the relationship between the moon - a traditional symbol of love and reunion in Chinese literature - and modern living spaces. The architectural composition employs a minimalist design language that creates an art museum-like atmosphere, featuring carefully selected materials including terrazzo, gradient glass, lego board, and wood finishes. The space is characterized by its innovative use of pulsating wooden grilles that create a dynamic interplay between interior and exterior environments, establishing a profound connection between human occupation and natural elements. The design incorporates sophisticated lighting techniques, with light beams beneath slanting ceiling features creating fluid, changeable effects that enhance the pure and elegant spatial atmosphere. The color palette progresses from light to deep tones, creating a layered visual experience that reflects the subtle gradations of moonlight. This project stands as a significant achievement in contemporary Chinese interior design, demonstrating how traditional cultural elements can be reinterpreted through modern design sensibilities to create spaces that are both functionally efficient and aesthetically compelling. The sales center's design successfully balances artistic expression with practical functionality, incorporating sustainable design principles and innovative spatial solutions that earned it recognition as one of the outstanding examples of retail and exhibition design.
