Gujinggong LiquorGujinggong LiquorGujinggong Liquor is an innovative packaging design that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese cultural elements with contemporary design aesthetics. The design, created by Cheng Tian Sheng, features a sophisticated ceramic bottle adorned with meaningful numerical symbolism - nine lines on the front representing the supreme odd number in Chinese culture, and five lines on the back symbolizing harmony. The packaging's distinctive feature lies in its intricate illustration of a dragon, a revered symbol of auspiciousness in Chinese mythology, depicted engaging with the wine bottle amidst traditional elements such as Xiangyun clouds, palaces, and landscapes. The structural innovation of the packaging incorporates an automatic rising mechanism activated by a button press, revealing multi-layered cardboard illustrations that transform the package into a displayable art piece. The design, measuring 200mm x 120mm x 280mm and containing a 500ml bottle, employs environmentally conscious materials and automated production methods to optimize both sustainability and manufacturing efficiency. This exceptional packaging design earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2020, recognized for its innovative approach to storytelling through design, cultural preservation, and functional excellence. The design successfully bridges ancient Chinese wine culture with modern packaging solutions, creating a narrative that elevates the product experience while maintaining practical functionality and environmental responsibility.
