You And We Visual LanguageYou And We Visual LanguageYou and We Visual Language is a comprehensive visual communication system designed to promote and facilitate volunteer work through a cohesive collection of graphical elements, created by designer Yujin Jung. This innovative visual language comprises 83 representative images, including 54 graphics, 15 illustrations, and 14 icons, specifically crafted to make volunteer activities more accessible and understandable to the general public. The design system employs a modular approach inspired by universally recognizable basic shapes and LEGO-like elements, allowing for flexible recombination and expansion of visual elements. Developed in 2019, this visual identity system aims to reshape public perception of volunteerism by emphasizing active engagement and positive social change rather than traditional stereotypes of charitable work. The system utilizes vector-based graphics created in Adobe Illustrator, ensuring versatility and scalability across various applications and formats. Each visual element is meticulously designed to communicate specific volunteer activities clearly, with illustrations conveying a sense of approachability and familiarity. The project, which earned an Iron A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, demonstrates exceptional achievement in visual impact, effective communication, and social relevance. The system's technical execution includes multiple file formats (AI, SVG, PNG, JPG, PDF) and a manual book in standard A4 format (210mm x 297mm), making it highly accessible and practical for various implementation scenarios. The design successfully overcomes the challenge of representing the dynamic interaction between volunteers and recipients, creating a visual language that emphasizes mutual engagement and positive social impact.
