Air Of Elegance Residence

Air Of Elegance Residence is an award-winning residential interior design project completed in 2018 in Zhubei city, Hsinchu county, Taiwan, that masterfully transforms a 122-square-meter living space into a sophisticated sanctuary inspired by boutique hotel aesthetics. The design, conceived by Chiu Wu and Huang Jo Hsi, seamlessly integrates hotel-inspired elements throughout functional areas while maintaining a harmonious balance between luxury and practicality. The residence features a thoughtfully planned layout comprising a foyer, an open-concept study, dining room, and kitchen, complemented by three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Notable design elements include a distinctive entrance hallway formed by double-sided cabinetry and tawny glass, creating a sophisticated transition space. The centerpiece of the public area is an innovative TV cabinet designed to resemble a fireplace, while the kitchen space maximizes natural light through large windows. The private areas are distinguished by artistic elements, including cabinets with irregular cutting lines and a painting hanging track system. The material palette demonstrates exceptional refinement, incorporating marble, Silestone, imported tiles, herringbone parquet flooring, European-imported system furniture board, leather accents, and steel-brushed wood veneer with piano lacquer finishes. This outstanding residential project, which won the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, successfully addresses the unique challenges of creating distinct functional zones within an open-plan space while maintaining spatial fluidity and elegance. The design particularly excels in its response to the clients' needs, providing a nurturing environment for their twin children while offering parents a sophisticated retreat reminiscent of their cherished travel experiences.
