Panorama Villa ResidencePanorama Villa ResidencePanorama Villa Residence is an award-winning architectural masterpiece that exemplifies contemporary residential design while paying homage to the historic regional architecture of Mani, Greece. The residence, encompassing 592 square meters with a height of 7.50 meters, is conceptualized as a series of individual stone fragments orchestrated around a central atrium and living spaces, creating a harmonious dialogue between built form and natural landscape. The architectural composition employs stone as its primary construction material, forming a monolithic building envelope that extends into select interior spaces, including the living room, dining room, and atrium, while Corten steel elements are strategically incorporated in pergolas, perforated panels, and window profiles. The design unfolds across three levels - basement, ground floor, and first floor - comprising five distinct volumes that gravitate around the main atrium, with the configuration carefully planned to either ensure privacy or capture panoramic views of the horizon through organically distributed openings. The residence's sophisticated design approach demonstrates exceptional sensitivity to its context, with the purposeful use of stone throughout the building creating an impression of earth resting on firm ground, offering varied experiences of memory and light. The project, which received the Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, showcases innovative spatial organization, sustainable design principles, and masterful integration with its Mediterranean setting, particularly evident in its varied pathways through the garden and multiple access points that connect different levels and patios, creating a seamless flow between interior and exterior spaces.
