Zhangyan Country Living Festival Exhibition SpaceZhangyan Country Living Festival Exhibition SpaceZhangyan Country Living Festival Exhibition Space is an innovative sustainable exhibition environment that exemplifies the future of rural living through thoughtful architectural design and cultural integration. Located in Shanghai, this 5000-square-meter activity space represents a groundbreaking approach to sustainable exhibition design, incorporating repurposed shipping containers and locally-sourced materials such as wood, straw, and reeds. The design philosophy draws inspiration from the Memphis School's creative principles, abstracting local elements like mountains, water, fish, and bridges to create a distinctive visual identity that bridges traditional rural culture with contemporary design innovation. The spatial arrangement features strategically positioned container structures, creating dynamic exhibition areas through careful stacking and interlacing techniques. The layout comprises two main zones: a forum area formed by parallel container arrangements on the left, and a marketplace space created by rotated container configurations on the right. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project in the Event and Happening Design category demonstrates exceptional achievement in sustainable development, establishing a recyclable system that minimizes waste while promoting the concept that everything has potential for reuse. The exhibition space serves as an urban-rural co-creation innovation experiment, advancing practices of sustainable living through systematic brand output and cross-boundary thinking, effectively conveying core themes of rurality, sustainability, future-oriented design, and innovation.
