Sapphire ResidenceSapphire ResidenceSapphire Residence is an award-winning residential interior design project located in the vibrant metropolitan area of Taipei, Taiwan, exemplifying a sophisticated fusion of contemporary loft aesthetics and gentleman-like refinement. Completed in January 2019, this 83-square-meter dwelling showcases a masterful integration of blue color tones and fair-faced concrete, complemented by carefully selected wooden elements that create a harmonious living environment rich in texture and visual appeal. The design, conceived by Shih-Ming Liu and Shih-Ming Lo, demonstrates exceptional space optimization through the transformation of a three-bedroom layout into a two-bedroom configuration, featuring an entrance area that doubles as a public space to enhance social functionality. The residence's distinctive design language is characterized by clean lines, smooth circulation patterns, and ingenious hidden storage solutions, while custom-made furniture pieces contribute to an elevated sense of luxury throughout the space. The interior architecture employs a deliberate color strategy, utilizing cool blue tones and industrial elements to symbolize restraint and sophistication, while dark wooden furnishings and fixtures provide warmth and depth to the overall composition. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, successfully addresses modern urban living challenges through thoughtful spatial planning and material selection. The design encompasses an entrance, living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, each space meticulously crafted to reflect the client's personal character while maintaining a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetic refinement. The implementation of oak wood, teak wood, wooden veneer, tiles, metal, and fair-faced concrete demonstrates a sophisticated understanding of material interplay, creating an environment that serves both as a private sanctuary and an impressive entertainment space.
