Wulianghong Liquor PackagingWulianghong Liquor PackagingWulianghong Liquor Packaging is an exemplary manifestation of contemporary Chinese packaging design that masterfully integrates traditional cultural elements with modern aesthetic sensibilities. This innovative packaging design, created by designer Sisi Don, harmoniously combines three quintessential Chinese cultural elements: the national color (Chinese red), the national flower (peony), and the traditional art of embroidery. The design's most distinctive feature is its ingenious interpretation of traditional Chinese furniture screens, incorporating a three-fold structure that measures 225mm in width, 115mm in depth, and 215mm in height. When opened, the packaging reveals an sophisticated display system where the bottle is presented as if it were a precious artifact on a traditional display shelf, framed by an abstract moiré pattern that adds depth and visual intrigue. The design's execution demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, particularly in its integration of traditional Chinese embroidery techniques with contemporary packaging materials. The bottle itself is conceptualized as a blooming flower, achieved through a careful combination of materials that embody oriental aesthetic traditions while conveying premium product positioning. This packaging design, which was developed between August 2017 and June 2018, represents a significant achievement in the field of luxury liquor packaging, earning recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category. The design successfully balances functional requirements with artistic expression, creating an immersive unboxing experience that celebrates Chinese cultural heritage while meeting modern market demands for sophisticated packaging solutions.
