Nuvem Decorative Lighting SolutionNuvem Decorative Lighting SolutionNuvem Decorative Lighting Solution is an innovative architectural lighting system that revolutionizes traditional illumination concepts through its modular and adaptable design. Conceived by Portuguese designer Miguel Arruda, this sophisticated lighting solution draws inspiration from a 1970s sculpture exploring anthropomorphic female forms, translating two-dimensional designs into three-dimensional illuminated landscapes. The system employs hexagonal modules crafted from millimeter-thin technopolymer, specifically utilizing recyclable Opalflex material composed of technopolymers and glass crystals, which undergoes a sustainable cold-cutting process producing zero CO2 emissions. Each base hexagonal module, measuring 102 x 94 centimeters and comprising 96 smaller components, can be infinitely combined to create floating, ethereal installations that transform architectural spaces by extending across ceilings and walls. The design's remarkable versatility is enhanced by its bidirectional lighting capability, allowing spotlights to be positioned above the system or threaded through to illuminate from below, creating dramatic shadows and light plays. This innovative approach to lighting design, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, represents a significant advancement in sustainable lighting solutions, combining artistic expression with functional illumination. The system's ability to adapt to various spatial configurations while maintaining its sculptural integrity makes it particularly valuable for both commercial and residential applications, where it serves not only as a lighting solution but also as an architectural element that transforms spaces into dynamic, artistic environments.
