Shandong Dongping Landscape Residence is an innovative architectural project that reimagines contemporary residential living through the principles of landscape urbanism and ecological integration. Located in Dongping County, China, this experimental residential community distinguishes itself through its unique approach to spatial organization, drawing inspiration from the natural phenomenon of fish streaming to create a dynamic, converging layout. The design features six elevated residential blocks that generate a coherent landscape network, with commercial spaces at ground level and interconnected landscape platforms above, fostering enhanced community interaction. The architectural composition employs a sophisticated diamond-shaped pattern throughout its design, manifesting in both the landscape flow and building facades. The residential structures are strategically oriented southward to maximize natural light exposure, incorporating large glass curtain walls that provide abundant sunshine and transparent views, while the northern corridors feature horizontal aluminum louvers that create a rhythmic interplay of light and shadow. The project's innovative approach to urban living is further emphasized through its ground-level landscape design, which seamlessly integrates with the elevated structures to create a continuous, unified spatial experience.
