Zmake OfficeZmake OfficeZmake Office is an innovative interior design project completed in 2019 that reimagines traditional workplace environments through artistic expression and human-centric spatial planning. Located in Zhengzhou, this 1,100-square-meter office space exemplifies a revolutionary approach to contemporary workplace design, featuring a striking hyperbolic arched bamboo installation measuring 2,800 millimeters in height, 4,100 millimeters in width, and 2,700 millimeters in depth as its centerpiece. The design philosophy centers on fostering artistic inspiration, leisure, and collaborative sharing, achieved through thoughtful spatial organization including a strategic 21-meter T-shaped corridor that effectively separates dynamic and static areas. The project showcases exceptional craftsmanship through its extensive use of traditional bamboo weaving techniques, incorporating approximately 12 kilometers of bamboo strips crafted by nine skilled artisans from Lu'an, Anhui Province. The material palette combines bamboo with terrazzo, Dalek paint, and stainless steel to create a harmonious blend of traditional and modern elements. The space planning prioritizes natural lighting in open office areas and features an information gallery that doubles as an interactive space. This innovative approach to workplace design earned the project a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its excellence in spatial innovation and cultural integration. The design successfully addresses the complex relationships between people, objects, and space, demonstrating how thoughtful interior architecture can enhance both workplace efficiency and human experience.
