Fragments FlaskFragments FlaskFragments Flask is an innovative and artistically conceived set of three geometrical drinking vessels that seamlessly combines functional design with sculptural aesthetics. Created by Hong Kong-based designer Irene Yeung, this sophisticated drinkware collection represents a thoughtful exploration of form and functionality, where each flask serves as both a practical container and an element of a larger artistic composition. Crafted from premium grade 18/10 stainless steel, renowned for its superior corrosion resistance and durability, the collection comprises three distinct sizes: a large 8-ounce flask (97.5 x 35 x 117mm), a medium 6-ounce flask (95 x 40 x 93mm), and a small 3-ounce flask (78 x 33.5 x 78mm). The design's distinguishing feature lies in its irregular polygonal forms, achieved through advanced laser cutting and welding techniques, which allow the three pieces to interlock into a cohesive sculptural block when arranged together. Each flask boasts a meticulous mirror-polished exterior finish that not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also serves as a metaphorical reflection of life's fragments and memories. The design philosophy behind the Fragments Flask draws inspiration from the dualities of human experience - joy and sorrow - and the way shared moments often revolve around beverages, whether in solitude or social settings. This conceptual depth, combined with its technical excellence and innovative approach to everyday objects, earned the Fragments Flask an Iron A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design category in 2020, recognizing its contribution to elevating utilitarian objects into pieces of functional art.
