Iconic Sx80 Hybrid Yacht Design

Iconic Sx80 Hybrid Yacht Design is an innovative 80-meter hybrid expedition superyacht concept that exemplifies the convergence of sustainable technology and luxury maritime design. This sophisticated vessel, designed by Rumeysa Aris and recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Yacht and Marine Vessels Design category, features a distinctive exterior characterized by sweeping curves inspired by ocean waves and incorporates extensive glass elements that create a seamless connection between the vessel and its marine environment. The yacht encompasses five decks with 290 square meters of external living space and 1,200 square meters of interior area, offering premium amenities including an 8-meter swimming pool, helipad, four VIP staterooms, an owner's suite with a fitness center, a glass-side infinity pool, spa facilities, and a beach club with a full-beam swimming platform. The vessel's hybrid propulsion system represents a significant advancement in maritime engineering, featuring five operational modes ranging from diesel to fully electric, powered by a 30-tonne lithium-ion battery bank capable of storing 1 million watts of electricity. This innovative system enables a top speed of 20 knots while achieving 30 percent lower fuel consumption compared to contemporary vessels. The design demonstrates exceptional attention to environmental consciousness through its use of recycled materials and efficient systems, while maintaining the highest standards of luxury and comfort. A unique design element includes lower deck portholes arranged to spell Love in Morse code, showcasing the designer's commitment to combining artistic expression with functional design. The vessel's technical specifications include a beam of 15.60 meters, a draft of 3.70 meters, and accommodations for 10 guests and 15 crew members, making it a remarkable example of contemporary superyacht design that balances luxury, sustainability, and innovation.
