Listening To Transparency Exhibition Of Sound ArtListening To Transparency Exhibition Of Sound ArtListening to Transparency Exhibition of Sound Art is a sophisticated multimedia exhibition and visual communication project that masterfully integrates audio and visual elements through 44 distinct artworks, exemplifying the intersection of sound art and spatial design. The exhibition, designed by Xulei Li, explores the conceptual and physical properties of transparency through innovative installation pieces that utilize various transparent materials and lighting effects. The visual identity of the exhibition is characterized by circular wave patterns representing sound sources, featuring varying angles and curvatures that create a dynamic visual language. The design implementation employs a unique dual-layer printing technique, combining silk-screen printing on transparent PVC material with Risograph technology on cotton paper, creating an interactive visual experience where typographic elements in traditional Song font merge with sound wave motifs. This innovative approach extends beyond traditional exhibition design by incorporating digital elements, allowing visitors to access promotional content through augmented reality scanning of key visuals. The exhibition's visual identity thoughtfully balances cultural elements, with colors inspired by the French national flag to symbolize cross-cultural dialogue between China and France, while maintaining strong Chinese cultural references through typography. The project, which was showcased in 2017, received international recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, acknowledging its excellence in combining technical innovation with artistic expression. The exhibition's design successfully addresses the challenge of harmonizing with both the exhibited artworks and the museum environment, while creating an engaging narrative that guides visitors through the exploration of sound, space, and transparency.
