Hamacho HotelHamacho HotelHamacho Hotel is an architecturally distinctive hospitality establishment located in Eastern Tokyo's Hamacho district, embodying a harmonious fusion of greenery and craftsmanship in its design philosophy. This 15-story reinforced concrete structure, completed in 2019, represents a significant urban revitalization initiative, featuring 170 guest rooms and innovative architectural elements that seamlessly integrate nature with built form. The building's facade showcases a sophisticated vertical landscape design utilizing board-formed concrete and plastering techniques, creating an articulated exterior that rises 45 meters in height. The structure encompasses a total floor area of 13,010.79 square meters on a site spanning 1,423.28 square meters, with thoughtfully designed spaces including public areas on the ground floor, standard guest rooms from floors 2 to 14, and four exclusive executive rooms with private balconies on the 15th floor. The design demonstrates exceptional environmental consciousness through its innovative use of lightweight artificial soil for landscaping and energy-efficient features. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, stands as a testament to contemporary architectural innovation, serving both as a destination for international visitors and a vital community hub for local residents. The hotel's ground floor functions as a vibrant social space, featuring a restaurant and retail area that encourages community engagement and cultural exchange, while its vertical green elements contribute significantly to the urban streetscape and environmental sustainability.
