Maoyuan Jingxi Show Flat is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies contemporary luxury living through sophisticated spatial planning and artistic expression. Located in Beijing, this 300-square-meter townhouse showcases a revolutionary approach to lifestyle curation, earning recognition with a Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space Design. The design philosophy centers on the concept of subtraction design, where redundant functional spaces are eliminated to create a more spacious atmosphere with rational circulation patterns. The interior architecture features a series of miniature gardens integrated throughout the living spaces, departing from traditional Chinese entrance designs by incorporating overwhelming brightness and natural elements. The central entrance hallway serves as the main distribution space, while the innovative kitchen design incorporates a lounge bar that seamlessly integrates Chinese and Western culinary spaces. The project, completed between May and November 2018, employs premium materials including Jinyu marble, Saint Laurent black gold marble, Eucalyptus veneer, white glass, wall cloth, leather, and brass to achieve its sophisticated aesthetic. The living areas demonstrate remarkable flexibility in functional divisions, while the bedroom features a distinctive round bed that injects dynamism into the space. This design successfully balances classic models with modern elements, creating a space that appeals to urban elites while maintaining luxury features through simplified forms and innovative material applications.
