Sberbank Headquarters AtriumSberbank Headquarters AtriumSberbank Headquarters Atrium is a revolutionary architectural interior space design that transformed a corporate headquarters building in Moscow through the creation of a magnificent multifunctional atrium space. This innovative architectural intervention, designed by a Swiss architecture office in collaboration with a Russian architecture studio, represents a masterful integration of form, function, and sustainable design principles within a corporate environment. The centerpiece of this 24-meter-high atrium is a striking suspended diamond-shaped meeting room, measuring 5 meters in height, 11 meters in length, and 8.5 meters in width, which appears to float within the space through an ingenious system of flexible suspension cables equipped with real-time tension monitoring capabilities. The atrium's design incorporates several distinctive elements, including 20-meter-high living walls, a series of cantilevered meeting areas, and a sophisticated glazed internal façade that creates an interplay of light and reflection throughout the space. The project, which was completed in January 2020 after 16 months of development, demonstrates exceptional technical innovation in its construction methodology, particularly in the suspended meeting room's structure, which features a hidden load-bearing steel frame and triangulated structure clad with uniquely shaped translucent and mirror panels. The design successfully addresses contemporary workplace needs by incorporating diverse coworking spaces, a coffee bar, and flexible meeting areas, while the implementation of biophilic elements, smart lighting, and advanced ventilation systems creates an optimal environment for modern work practices. This exceptional architectural achievement was recognized with the Platinum A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to workplace design innovation and its role in advancing the boundaries of interior architecture.
