Yongqing Fang Grand Theater Renovation ExhibitionYongqing Fang Grand Theater Renovation ExhibitionYongqing Fang Grand Theater Renovation Exhibition is a significant architectural transformation project located in the historic Enning Road district of Guangzhou, China, representing a masterful blend of traditional Chinese architecture with contemporary design elements. This 334-square-meter renovation project, completed in November 2019, exemplifies innovative interior space planning through the strategic use of boxed divisions that create dynamic, changeable spatial structures while harmonizing irregular spaces. The design philosophy centers on juxtaposing old with new, employing sophisticated material combinations including wood veneer, white paint, rust-like paint spray, black aluminium panels, grey tiles, and stretch ceiling elements to create a compelling visual narrative. The renovation's most striking feature is its reimagined entrance, where traditional wooden screen doors were replaced with frosted steel frames and transparent glass, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor connection that particularly enhances the building's nocturnal presence. The two-story space serves dual purposes, with the ground floor dedicated to project exhibitions and the second floor designed for negotiations, demonstrating thoughtful functional zoning. This innovative renovation project, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases exceptional achievement in adaptive reuse while preserving cultural heritage, serving as the investment promotion center for the broader Yongqing Fang development initiative.
