Vanke City Stylish Sales Center Sales Exhibition Center

Vanke City Stylish Sales Center Sales Exhibition Center is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of modern aesthetics with historical preservation, completed in 2016 in Anshan City, Liaoning Province, China. This 800-square-meter exhibition space, designed by Wai Kai Neville Yung, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning and creative problem-solving within the constraints of an existing historical structure. The design philosophy centers on creating a welcoming, experiential environment that balances commercial objectives with human-centric design principles. Notable features include multi-angled irregular three-dimensional ceiling designs that seamlessly integrate with the original wooden structure, strategic use of environmentally conscious materials such as LG wood decorative film, and innovative encapsulation techniques to preserve the building's original architectural elements. The space incorporates geometric elements as symbolic representations of modern design, while carefully maintaining historical features through thoughtful preservation methods. The design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases remarkable attention to detail in its material selection, including metal, artificial stone, artificial greenery, and preserved timber flooring. Despite challenging constraints including a compressed 35-day design period and strict preservation requirements, the project successfully creates an engaging visitor experience through its rounded corner displays, strategic placement of greenery, and cohesive design language that flows from the entrance throughout the interior spaces.
